ABOUT US
The Puerto Rico Washington DC Educational Alliance Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to expanding educational opportunities and creating pathways for leadership, cultural exchange, and community empowerment between Puerto Rico and Washington, DC. Through educational initiatives, mentorship programs, and strategic partnerships, we connect youth and underserved communities with resources that promote academic growth, professional development, and long-term social impact.
Recognized by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) under EIN 41-3271180, our foundation works to bridge communities across Puerto Rico and Washington, DC by fostering collaboration in education, leadership, arts, culture, and civic engagement. We believe every young person deserves access to opportunities that can shape their future—and we are committed to providing the guidance, support, and connections needed to help them succeed.
Our Programs and Initiatives
Transforming lives through education, mentorship, and community impact
The Academy
Our flagship mentorship and education program operating across schools, community centers, and correctional facilities. Participants explore areas such as leadership, financial literacy, sports, entrepreneurship, technology, and academic preparation through workshops, mentorship, and professional guidance.
The Theater
A creative and cultural initiative focused on storytelling, public speaking, theater, poetry, visual arts, and community expression. The Theater creates spaces where young people can build confidence, share their voices, and inspire their communities through creativity and culture.
Grants Program
Direct financial support for students, athletes, artists, and young leaders pursuing educational and professional opportunities. We help reduce financial barriers by supporting training programs, academic expenses, competitions, and mentorship opportunities.
Future Leaders Program
A leadership and digital innovation initiative designed to prepare the next generation through entrepreneurship, artificial intelligence, content creation, networking, communication, and career readiness. Participants gain practical skills for success in today’s digital world.
